Waking Dream
I) I am:
walking,
waking in a dream.
Stepping forward,
taken
by a stream of colors and shapes
that make
no earthly sense.
I can’t define
the scene.
I can’t confine my
emotion to within or
refine the moments
melting
without myself.
I blink and
think, if only
I squint,
look closer
at the showers of color and shape
maybe,
just then,
I’ll understand this dream…
II) You are:
standing,
looking at me.
Amused with
your muse,
you the artist.
With one look,
souls fuse and
I lose myself
within
you take my
waking dream and
halt
the raining world
before me.
I blink and
think of you,
defined
in the midst
of my melting
rainy waking
dream…
Down,
in pools of liquid
falling earth
Down.
Below above around us,
Down,
I look up
at you
Fall into you
my arms around
you
together firmly,
in my melty waking
Dream.
