Chapter Twenty-Eight discussion

line

Parker responds to Tanya’s need for a goodbye note from Phila with the assertion that, “Words don’t help.” Do you agree with the statement that words don’t help in times of need? Can you think of a moment in your own life when words fell short of comforting you? How about a time when words did comfort you? Why do you think Parker feels that words don’t help?

just had to tell you that i reread Ch.28 twice and I think the writing is terrific. It was my favorite chapter so far. The emotions are so vivid and real and the silence in between so perfect. Well done.
