Chapter Twenty discussion

line

Parker spends some time alone with her mother, though while they’re outside, her mother seems to be “speaking to the trees above and the air around her, until she got bored of both and moved on.” How does this line characterize Parker’s mother? Do you think it’s a fair assessment of the kind of person she is? Why does she seem to be constantly moving from place to place? Can you relate to this at all?
